Look at what I came across a few days ago: an enclosure full of woolly creatures ♡
I took the pictures while precariously standing on a stone wall with a very uneven surface… For a while I even contemplated the option of getting inside the enclosure; in the end I discarded the idea because of the unpredictable reaction that the creatures may have had and the wall and my outfit would have not been suitable for a quick retreat.
I was even shooting some short videos, but my free WordPress site won’t let me post videos!
Can you guess where this was taken? It’s in England and is a former Roman town…
Hmm, Bath? That’s the only former Roman town I know in England!
Correct 🙂 well done!
Ha, looking at future socks and sweaters? I wonder….might this be somewhere at the Hadrian’s Wall route? However..London used to be a Roman town as well. So I covered three quarters of England so I must be close;0) Thanks for the lovely photo’s, ♥ Johanna
Dear Johanna,
Both could be a good option, though this one was taken in Bath, near the local university 🙂
I couldn’t believe my eyes as I passed by on board of a bus, and I had to go and check it our later on!
I so wanted to jump in the enclosure and try and cuddle them a bit… not sure whether the creatures would have been too happy about it!
Have a nice day! Hugs from judith
Bath!!! Of course, duh! I have no clue how huggable sheep might or might not be. They do look so warm and wooly, I agree. I always think bears looks so cuddly and cozy too but I have been strongly advised as not to approach them;0) hugs and have a wonderful day!
lol 😀
…luckily no bears nearby!
I have no idea and I’m English! Oh how I miss such sights. Thanks for sharing. x
thanks for your comment 🙂 it was in Bath,m just down the road from the local uni… my first time seeing in person that many sheep grazing 🙂
xx
Beautiful pictures and Bath is a very lovely town! Haven’t been there for ages though😊
thank you!
it was my very first time, took a zillion pics, may write a post about it soon 🙂
Reblogged this on KnitWhit (with a pen) and commented:
We all know how I love sheep & England so I had to share these pictures from this fellow blogger. Enjoy!
I am suddenly hearing Baroque music … “all we like sheep…” “His sheep may safely graze…” “He shall feed his flock…” I usually think of flocks on the Judean hillside. But now, I can see the imagery and symbolism is not limited to a far-off, foreign land.
Susan, thank you for bringing up some exotic imagery 🙂 Isn’t it great how many different images can this little cute creature bring up in our mind?
Have a great day!
Cosy and relaxing view. Lovely 🙂
thank you 🙂
i seem to be unable to resist sheep…. they’re just too cute!
A lovely collage of sheep photos and lovely English fields – miss it at this time of year! Thanks for reminding me of home… Cath
You’re welcome Cath!
I love this English landscape and the woolly creatures 🙂
Have a nice day x
Thanks, I will! You too…
You can post the sheep videos on youtube and then copy the embed text over to your wordpress post. Bring on the sheep flicks!
